About Me, Roy Derrick, What I Do And How I Do It

I share my story in the hope that it will help other people realise how easy it can be to make your life extra special.

Over the years I have created numerous successful small businesses and employed as many as sixty six staff in one company alone. But something was still missing in my life … time to be able to enjoy myself !  So I sold my businesses and started a successful Home Based Business that my wife Julie is also now proud to be part of. Together we have at long last found and created the perfect work / life balance.

I was born in the beautiful countryside of Wiltshire within the UK. My father was in the forces so as a child we travelled a little until we eventually settled down in South Wales where I married my lovely wife Julie and have four lovely children.

I supposed I started being an entrepreneur at the young age of six because even at that age I was always looking for an opportunity to make money. I used to organize garden fetes and jumble sales, selling my toys and even strawberries, door to door to my friends and neighbours. Who knows, I may have been the world’s youngest entrepreneur. (Only Joking).

When I left school, I graduated as a Gas Service Engineer and in 1989 I decided to leave my well paid full time job to start my first business venture opening a chain of food stores and post offices. Everyone thought I was mad ! Since then I have set up numerous successful companies, some large, some small including a manufacturering business. That said, like most people I have had my ups and downs.

Early on in my career, I won a weekend trip to New York with Billionaire Entrepreneur Richard Branson for my entrepreneurial skills in a particular business sector.  That trip taught me so much and inspired me towards developing my business skills even further.

It’s true what they say, by following a good leader and copying what they do, you can also become successful. That is exactly what I did.

I then set up a property / land development company and a construction company. Like many I worked very hard to build my companies into successful enterprises. However, with borrowings of nearly £1 million Pounds came a lot of worry, sleepless nights and eventually a reality check!

The bricks and mortar world is a truly demanding one, and soon realized that there was a lot more to success than monetary wealth. Personal health, time freedom and the ability to work a flexible schedule were important aspects that I felt were still missing in my life.

So I decided to take advantage of the most power tool know to mankind. The Internet. So a created a very successful Home Based Business that creates more profits than any other business I have ever started. I now enjoy teaching, mentoring and helping other people to do the same.

My home business continues to open many ‘doors’ and opportunities for me and my family. But best of all I work from home and have an online business to be proud of.

My Internet home business has simple automated systems, resources, tools and training techniques that enables my business to grow year on year fulfilling my dreams and goals. As the days pass I never forgot the fact that ‘To get what we never had, we have to do what we’ve had never done’. It’s a credo that today governs both my life and my career.

I have become accustomed to being in control and in charge of my own destiny and achieving my goals and being able to work part time from home allowing me to spend more time with my family and friends.

I love my Internet business and the opportunities it creates. My wife Julie now plays an important part as a mentor in our home based business and thoroughly enjoys it.  We share everything with everyone enabling other ordinary people who are searching for what we have created, what we do the, with the confidence and reassurance that we can truly help them to do the same. Being our own boss and working part time allows us to travel more and have lots of fun. Our business is partially automated and does most of the work for us, which is why we have so much time to ourselves. So there you have it…. short and sweet.
